Banana Bread

Banana Bread

This is the favorite recipe I ever used for banana bread which is inspired by www.panlasangpinoy.com's version. I only changed a few for a health reason.

Recipe Yield: Servings for Six

Ingredients:
3 pieces over ripe banana
1/2 cup sugar-free honey or white sugar
2 pieces raw eggs or 6 1/2 Tbsp. egg whites, slightly beaten     (1/2 tbsp. = 1 1/2 tsp.)
5 Tbsp. Butter, melted
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla essence
1 1/2 cups wheat flour or all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda

Procedure:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degree Fahrenheit.
2. In a bowl, mash the ripe banana and add the baking soda and honey or sugar. Mix.
3. Add in the flour, eggs, melted butter, vanilla essence and salt. Mix using an electric mixer until all the ingredients are incorporated.
4. Grease a 6-piece muffin pan or a loaf pan with a baking spray or with butter stick. Pour the batter to the muffin molder up to half the level of each mold. If you are using a loaf pan, just pour the batter in.
5. Place the pan in the preheated oven and bake for 50 to 60 minutes or until it pass the toothpick test. Take it out of the oven then allow it to cool for about 10 mins before taking the bread out of the pan and cool completely in a bread wire basket.
6. Serve and enjoy!

Feel free to share and use it for your home baking.

Food for the Soul

But He answered, “It is written,
"Man shall not live by bread alone,
but by every word that comes from the mouth of God."

Matthew 4:3, ESV
