Filipino style spaghetti is known for it's sweet and juicy taste because of the sugar/honey and banana ketchup used. Another unique ingredient is the addition of sliced hotdog instead of sausage or meat balls.
Recipe Yield: Servings for Three to Four
Ingredients:
1/2 lb. (Approx. 1/4 kg) spaghetti pasta, cooked according to the box instruction and save about 1/4 cup of the water used to cook the pasta
1/2 of jar of spaghetti sauce, I used mushroom pasta sauce
1/4 cup banana ketchup
1/8 lb. ground pork, or ground turkey or ground pork
3 hotdogs, sliced diagonally to 1/4 in. thick
1 cloves garlic, finally minced
1/4 med. sized onion, minced small
1 tbsp. sugar-free honey or brown sugar
Salt and pepper to taste
Grated cheddar or mozzarella cheese
Procedure:
1. Heat a sauce pan and put in the ground beef or ground meat you prefer and with salt and pepper. Stir until the color of the meat turns slightly brown. Drain excess oil.
2. In the same sauce pan, add in the sliced hotdog and stir until it cooks. Add in and sauté the garlic and onion.
3. Pour the pasta sauce in the pan. Add the water you saved from cooking the pasta to help thick in the sauce. Pour the sugar-free honey as well. Stir and season with pepper if desired. Add the cooked pasta and stir until the sauce is well incorporated.
4. Place it in a serving platter, top it with cheese, serve and enjoy!

Food for the Soul
Through Him then, let us continually offer up a sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of lips that give thanks to His name. And do not neglect doing good and sharing, for with such sacrifices God is pleased.
