Chicken Lazone

Chicken Lazone

Recipe Yields: Servings for two

Ingredients:
1/2 (about 1 lb.) boneless, skinless chicken breast
1/2 tsp. onion salt or 1/4 tsp. onion powder
1/8 tsp. cayenne pepper
1/4 tsp. paprika
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
2 tbsp. low fat margarine or butter, divided
1/4 cup skim milk
Salt and pepper to taste

Procedure:
1. Heat a small pot and put in the 1 tbsp. of margarine or butter, let it melt then add milk. Stir until the sauce thickens a bit. Allow it to cool.
2. Cut chicken to make it thinner making two portions. Sprinkle them with a pinch of salt and pepper to taste.
3. Using the same pot where milk and margarine were creamed. Add the onion salt, cayenne or red chili powder, paprika and garlic. Mix and pour it in a bowl. Soak the chicken breast completely and marinate for an hour or two.
4. Heat a pan and put in the left over margarine. Pan fry the chicken and flip when it's golden brown in one side. To make sure that the fish is fully cooked, set it on low with the lid on. If you like it brown nicely, you can turn the heat up after the meat turned white.
5. Serve and enjoy!

This is Lannie Armstrong's recipe inspired from Tina Charlene's Chicken Lazone. Feel free to share or use it for your home cooking.

Food for the Soul

Now I say, as long as the heir is a child, he does not differ at all from a slave although he is owner of everything,  but he is under guardians and managers until the date set by the father.  So also we, while we were children, were held in bondage under the elemental things of the world.  But when the fullness of the time came, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the Law,  so that He might redeem those who were under the Law, that we might receive the adoption as sons.  Because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into our hearts, crying, “Abba! Father!”  Therefore you are no longer a slave, but a son; and if a son, then an heir through God.

Galatians 4:1-7, NASB
